This website is part of my ongoing hobby of exploring Free, Open Source, and Self-Hosted software and services.
I’ll be sharing guides and tutorials based on how I’ve set up various tools and platforms, along with links to some of the self-hosted services I run as examples.
I’ve worked in IT for over 15 years, primarily in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) space, with additional experience in enterprise environments, including local government and banking.
Online privacy is something I care deeply about. Where possible, I believe in self-hosting the services I rely on — not just for control, but to reduce the risk of data leaks, surveillance, and exploitation of personal information.
Maintaining digital privacy is becoming increasingly difficult in today’s connected world. Centralized platforms collect, track, and monetize personal data, often without transparency or consent. By self-hosting, we can reclaim a measure of control and reduce our reliance on those systems.
My hope is that this blog can help others who value privacy and are looking for practical ways to take control of their digital lives through self-hosting.
